The back tuck is the next progression after gymnasts have mastered a round off backhandspring and round off two backhandspring in a row. The back tuck is a backward somersault flip in the air with no hands. In order to master this skill, gymnasts should have great body control, explosive leg strength and developed core. Buckhead Gymnastics offers this clinic to teach the fundamental strength and body movement activities necessary to learn the back tuck. Clinics are highly interactive with a variety of stations both spotted and independent. In order to participate in this clinic, athletes must have a back handspring by themselves.
